Photovoltaics is the technology of using specially treated semiconductors assembled in modules to convert light directly into electricity. Photovoltaic modules are mounted in a variety of places, including, for example, on large flat roofs of industrial buildings. Such systems are barely perceptible for the outside observer and do not require official approval. In autumn 2008, BREMER installed one of the largest solar systems in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for clients "Goodman Germany" and its tenant "Corporate Express". The rated output of the system is 1,600 kWp. In 2009, an extensive photovoltaic installation was constructed in Hamburg for logistics service provider "Kühne + Nagel".
