Special features First major contract for BREMER from the globally operating logistics service provider Kühne + Nagel.
Description of the facility The large-scale logistics centre of Kühne + Nagel is situated at Obergeorgswerder Deich in Hamburg. The centre consists of four structures: handling hall, office building, logistics hall 1 and logistics hall 2. The office building comprises two five-storey sections connected at the third storey by a structure built over the adjacent handling hall. Logistics hall 2 is a separate building in the south part of the complex. The buildings are precast reinforced concrete element structures with trapezoidal sheet metal roof cladding, fire-resistant insulation and insulated element facades. The structure in the south has an approx. 20,000 sqm greened roof. The rest of the roof area is covered with a photovoltaic system. All of the buildings are served by a wood pellet heating system. Environmental considerations are thus taken into account. The heat is distributed by large-scale underfloor heating systems. The office building is rendered visually distinctive by an elaborate, high-quality clinker facade that harmonizes with the silver-coloured facades of the logistics halls.
